“We are constantly striving to improve the experiences that we can offer to students through the ACHIEVE program, and also build relationships with our employers and sponsors. This year, the OU Credit Union sponsorship and the addition of part-time staff made it possible to create the event, which we proposed some years ago but have been unable to implement until now.”— Sherri Kerby, ACHIEVE Education Program Coordinator

MSU Federal Credit Union is excited to share the results of another successful year of the holiday Giving Tree program. The Giving Tree program gives the community the opportunity to fulfill the wish-list of local children during the holiday season. Due to increased participation, the Credit Union was able to add Ronald McDonald House of Mid-Michigan to the program. Therefore, members and employees were able to select gift tags from the following organizations: Child and Family Charities, Clarkston Area Youth Assistance, MSU Apartments, Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, and Ronald McDonald House of Mid-Michigan. In total, over 1,000 items were donated including $2,135, which was used to fulfill the wish-list of any remaining gift tags. Overall, 208 children’s wishes were granted this holiday season.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the children’s holidays merry and bright!
