The Credit Union is proud to support academia, fulfilling dreams, and learning from new environments. OU Credit Union, a trade name of MSUFCU, gifted a donation of $1 million over the next five years to Oakland University. On December 11, 2017, President/CEO, April Clobes, and Chief Financial Officer, Sara Dolan, presented a check for $1 million to the Oakland University Board of Trustees. Over the next five years, this donation will help support students who participate in study abroad and international educational opportunities.

“International education advances students’ learning by broadening their life experiences and personal connections — a competitive quality when entering the workforce,” said Clobes. “Our donation will bring this opportunity to more students looking to enrich their academic, professional, and personal experiences with a global perspective.”

The Credit Union greatly respects higher education and hopes to enhance the lives of many Oakland University students both professionally and personally with this donation. The Credit Union has partnered with Oakland University since the beginning of Oakland University’s relationship with Michigan State University. In 2013, OU Credit Union became the official credit union of the university, and since then, has provided two branches, scholarships, sponsorships, community involvement, and financial education to Oakland University’s students, faculty, staff, and community members.

OU Credit Union is proud to support students’ dreams of traveling and studying abroad.
