The Oakland University Alumni Association (OUAA) teed up on Monday, June 12, 2017 to host the OUAA Golf Challenge. Alumni and friends chose between playing a Play Your Own Ball or Scramble format. The annual event benefited the OUAA Scholarship Program which offers multiple scholarships such as renewable Legacy Awards for incoming OU students and the Legacy Transfer Awards for transfer students. OU Credit Union is proud to support the OUAA Golf Challenge through sponsorship.

For years, the OUAA has awarded students various scholarships to help make college affordable. According to their scholarship website, the association has granted more than $1 million in scholarships to qualified OU students. Events such as the golf challenge serve as fundraisers and are instrumental in helping provide students with financial support.

OU Credit Union strongly supports the pursuit of higher education. We are dedicated to improving and developing ourselves as well as one another. Through sponsorship we help our community members enhance their skills and connect them with opportunities to advance through learning. This year, several Credit Union employees will play in the golf challenge.

Meagan, a Credit Union employee commented, “As an organization we are committed to taking an active role in the OU community. Through events such as the OUAA Golf Challenge, we are helping make a difference in the lives of students. I am proud to work for an organization that is dedicated to providing resources and connecting with community members on a meaningful level.”
