Student Accounts Valuing Education
Lansing SAVE (Student Accounts Valuing Education) is a children's savings program brought to you by the City of Lansing, the Lansing School District, and MSUFCU. These accounts help Lansing School District students start saving money for their future college or vocational school expenses and are funded through contributions from both public/community donations, as well as individual contributors.

Any kindergarten through 11th grade student within the Lansing School District is automatically enrolled in the Lansing SAVE program.
Lansing SAVE Accounts
Your student's Lansing SAVE account is considered a long-term savings option called a Children's Savings Account (CSA). These account types have strict rules for programs like Lansing SAVE.

Once your student has graduated high school through the Lansing School District and is ready to pursue further education, it might be the right time to use those Lansing SAVE savings. With higher-ed looking a little different for every student, these funds can be used for:

• Tuition at university
• Community college
• Technical/vocational training schools
• Books and education-related expenses
• Other future career planning
Financial Education in Schools
In 2024 our Financial Educators spent 400+ hours teaching over 16,000 students from Kindergarten to 10th grade financial education and money management skills!

Introducing, Miss Cece and the Lansing SAVE team!
Guiding students through money matters can be a difficult task, but Miss Cece, Stella, and the entire Lansing SAVE team is here to help. The Lansing SAVE team is made up of educators from MSUFCU. This team creates financial educational lessons for students in kindergarten through 11th grade.

Miss Cece can often be found in a Lansing-area classroom, helping students understand grade-appropriate financial education and money skills through reading, activity pages, and other activities.
